PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, WI – Inflation has reached a 40 year high, rising 8.5% over last year. Americans are calling for action from a Biden-led White House and Pelosi-led Congress that have passed the buck for months, claiming inflation was first temporary, then a factor of the Russia-Ukraine War. In reality, inflation has been a consistent problem throughout the Biden Administration’s tenure as a result of radical spending proposals pushed by Nancy Pelosi’s House Democrats.
WI-03 Republican Candidate Derrick Van Orden released the following statement on the continued alarming inflation trend:
Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi have proven they are unwilling or unable to do what they need to do to provide American families relief. People can’t buy gas and groceries on the same day, energy costs are rising, and yet the career politicians making decisions keep passing the buck. It’s a failure of Leadership, and it’s why we are going to flip the House in November, to act as a check on the radical policies impacting families across the country.
